Meet Emily Hunter

Emily Hunter is a poet, writer, and artist whose work explores healing, self-worth, vulnerability, and the complicated paths we take toward becoming ourselves.

At 21, she self-published her debut poetry collection, Blooming, a deeply personal exploration of surviving a manipulative relationship and rediscovering life afterward. Less than two years later, she released her second collection, The Things You Say to Me, continuing her examination of inner dialogue, growth, and the stories we tell ourselves.

Emily earned her Bachelor of Science in Communication from Southern Oregon University, completing her degree in just three years while navigating the uncertainty of the pandemic.

When she's not writing, you'll likely find her creating art, exploring Southern Oregon's trails, paddleboarding on local lakes, or chasing inspiration wherever it happens to appear.

She believes words have the power to help people feel less alone—and that sometimes a single poem can change the way someone sees themselves.
